Genesis is barashiyt (It means the beginning)
Ahklah is a group that teaches Hebrew… if you look on the internet you will discover that for every site that claims it will teach you Spanish there are three that will teach you Hebrew… when you get tired of listening to your pastor say, this work in Hebrew is blah, blah, blah and it means this… and then proceeds to put an entire sermon together about a single word… then overcome…
Go to one of those three websites and begin learning the language of GOD… it was also the language of JESUS… HIS parents were Israelites and from a historical standpoint they would’ve spoken Hebrew as a native tongue, and also Greek, and Aramaic.. So, the first words that JESUS ever spoke should’ve been Hebrew… the BIBLE points out that JESUS spoke in the synagogues, HE would’ve had to have taught in Hebrew there, because the scrolls were in Hebrew and non-Israelites were not allowed into the areas where teaching occured… The BIBLE interprets some of the Hebrew words that JESUS spoke… that was the beginning…
Note also that the last words JESUS spoke on this Earth were Hebrew… Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?… (as you well know: FATHER [My GOD], FATHER[My God], why hast thou forsaken me?)
The Gospels do not say what language JESUS spoke to HIS disciples when he arose from the dead and appeared to them… However, when Paul was talking to King Agrippa in the book of Acts he specifically states that JESUS appeared to him on the road, blinded him, and spoke to him in Hebrew…
I met a missionary who imparted a statement from his Bob Jones University Hebrew instructor… He had told him that when we all get to Heaven, we will be speaking Hebrew…
I got to thinking about this and thought that if GOD made us in his own image and we all like to communicate effectively with one another, and have this desire to make others speak our language (I’m referring the present attempts to strongly encourage foreigners to speak English), then perhaps GOD may want everyone in heaven to speak HIS language (Hebrew)…
Hmmmm… I’m going to try to get a head start on that…
Here is a list of some sites that I thought were very good… don’t be intimidated by the fact that they specialize in teaching children… we all have to start somewhere…
