| Alimony and child support – A government push to a welfare state | ||||||
|
If we really want to empower wives, mothers, and women in general we should all push our government into demanding the same standards for alimony and child support that they have for their own resources, namely welfare, food stamps, AFDC, etc… If the government can protect itself (save money for bigger raises and more benefits for themselves) with the ‘welfare-to-work’ program, why can’t they help the people who are actually paying taxes and create other useful programs? Programs like alimony-to-work, child support-to-work would push women into independence, create a larger tax payer base, and free millions of men to better support new wives – thereby paying more taxes. Currently, our government is in ‘Robbing the hood’ mode. That is, they believe that it is good politics to steal from the rich (men – who work, serve their country, put their lives on the line for everyone else, and pay taxes) and give to the poor (women – who have children, watch TV, eat, change some diapers, yell and scream for help all the time, talk behind your back with all their girl-friends, sleep). I could go on and on, but that’s not the point. The point is to promote programs to help women become more independent. The point is not to bad-mouth or degrade women; they don’t need my help or yours with that. What they need help with is working. Of course you may say who died and left you boss or what makes you such an expert. I’m not saying that I’m a boss or an expert. I’m just using the governments last 10 years of work on the problem as a guide. Why give someone a FREE ride through life simply because they were biologically gifted with the ability to have a baby and don’t want to work. After fifty years of feeding them the government finally figured out that the only way to get them working was to force them to work by threatening to stop feeding them. However, only the almighty government has the ability to do this. You and I as citizens, husbands are not allowed to refuse aid to our dependants to coerce compliance with our programs and policies, they (women in government) have made that illegal. There are many benefits to this approach; 1. If a woman is gently coerced to get a job to support herself and her children then a. The government can subsidize more daycare for child support-to-work mothers like they do for welfare-to-work mothers b. Government (local, state, and federal) makes more money in taxes from a larger number of businesses. c. Government (local, state, and federal) makes more money in taxes from income earned from the woman working. 2. The woman will have fewer babies because she is busy working a. Fewer exemptions, pays more taxes to support the government and its services (mostly the government). b. 3. A man’s mind will be free to seek employment with higher pay, instead of always being concerned that most of his gain in pay will simply go to his ex-wife’s hips and butt. a. Higher paying job for men means more income tax into the coffers of our government for its wonderful services to us all. b. More men will be free to work making our society more productive c. Fewer men in prison for failure to pay because the women can help pay their share of the load for something that they wanted even more than the men do. 4. Child support should be a temporary thing to help a woman get on her toes so that she can support herself and her children otherwise she should stay married for better or worse like she swore under oath. a. A man should only have to subsidize a woman’s pay to assist their children, not be completely (100%) responsible for it.
